About the HHV-6 Foundation
Kristin Loomis, President & Executive Director
Kristin is Co-founder, President and Executive Director of the Foundation. A graduate of Wellesley and Harvard Business School, Kristin was a publishing and marketing executive before devoting herself full time to non-profit activities. Kristin directs the HHV-6 Foundation staff, administers the Foundation’s advocacy and coordinates research efforts along with the Scientific Director. She was instrumental in persuading Roche to fund Stanford’s placebo controlled trial and has initiated several important collaborations between scientists. Kristin became interested in HHV-6 after a family member fell ill with subacute HHV-6A encephalitis.
Courtney Hischier, Vice President
Courtney Hischier is a Vice President of the Foundation. A graduate of The Wharton School of Business and Boston College, Courtney was a bond salesperson before joining the medical research world. Courtney works with the Executive Director to coordinate research efforts. Courtney assisted Stanford with their early efforts to set up a placebo controlled trial of Valcyte in patients with elevated antibodies to HHV-6 & EBV and long-standing fatigue.
Jill Chase, Clinical Research Coordinator and Repository Manager
A former clinical trial coordinator, Jill works with investigators to help coordinate the many collaborations initiated by the HHV-6 Foundation. She assists paperwork on IRB and waivers, tracks down samples and helps busy scientists organize trials.
Erin Sethney, Administrative Assistant
Erin assists with patient inquiries and conference administration.
Karen Reilly, Business Manager
Karen handles the financial affairs of the Foundation. She was previously controller for an active chapter of the Boys & Girls Club.
